As a result of the significant technological advancements in fiber laser cutting technology, in 2022 UMI pivoted toward fiber laser cutting equipment and made dramatic strides in this department.  We exited 3-pieces of old/obsolete equipment and replaced that equipment with a near new 6kw Mitsubishi Fiber Laser.  This added scheduling capacity, speed, capability, and reliability all in one fell swoop.  It also allowed us to free up floor space for more productive purposes.  We cut a vast array of materials and thicknesses, and our professional operators and maintenance technician keep this equipment running optimally with little interruption.  We also have bulk nitrogen and oxygen tanks on premises, allowing for greater up-time and reduced cost to our customers.
