I have been working for Universal Metrics for 17 to 18 years. It’s a great company to work for. What I like the most about working for Universal Metrics is everybody’s treated like family and they take very good care of the employees. It’s a very safe and clean environment.

In addition to bartending at night at the time, I started at UMI as a temp on a project that was expected to take 2-4 weeks. After completing the project I was hired full-time and in a few short years have moved on to be an Office Administrator, Accounting Assistant, and now a Business Analyst. I have had exposure and professional development in Accounting, Human Resources, and Purchasing. UMI continues to be a great place for me to evolve, learn, and become a more valuable professional.

Originally hired at UMI as a full-time welder in 2020, after welding for 2 years I decided to return to school and further my education. UMI allowed me to work part-time while attending UW-Milwaukee. After my first year, I was extended a summer internship in the office on the finance team. Universal Metrics continues to be flexible with my school schedule for Junior year and I plan to maintain my internship for the duration of my schooling. I cannot thank them enough for how much they have helped me get a head start on my new career path as a professional, and the growth experienced as a result.
